Day 37

To commemorate Veteran’s Day, here are some behind-the-scenes photos from Day 37, a short film produced by the students at The Masters University. In this story, a military vet holds a VA hospital hostage until he gets the service he needs.

The Veterans Hospital is the second largest government agency in the United States – just behind the Department of Defense. More than 9 million veterans depend on care from the VA’s 170 medical centers and 1061 outpatient facilities, making it the largest integrated health care system in the United States. Since 2014, the VA has allocated roughly $20 billion to non-health-related projects, such as office makeovers, unused software licenses, and undocumented purchases on government debit cards. Over the past decade, more than 1,000 veterans may have died as a result of VA malfeasance… The VA has only admitted to 23.
